Window is a 3D animation that projects the outside landscape of the department store in the year 2077, a world devastated by the climate crisis. The work envisions a desolate future, where a once-bustling city has been largely abandoned. Presented across three horizontally connected 55-inch monitors, the piece represents the architectural form of a department store window, framing a haunting view of what remains.
The most outstanding feature of this piece is the rising sea level, which has reached the eye level of a viewer standing 5 to 6 feet tall. The underwater marine ecosystem suggests that the flooding has been present for a long time. The water, tinted a murky khaki hue, signals severe pollution and environmental degradation.
