"Evolution" is a multimedia installation that explores the transformative journey of disposable face masks from vital survival tools to environmental hazards. Through cement sculptures cast from various disposable masks and accompanied by an immersive soundscape of distorted breathing, the work examines humanity's complex relationship with single-use plastics and their environmental impact.
A soundscape accompanies the sculptures, combining manipulated recordings of human breathing through masks with AI-generated creature sounds. The resulting audio suggests a dystopian future where the very air we breathe is compromised by our culture of disposability.
