“\/\//=\/\/” is an interactive installation designed to challenge human perceptions of non-human life forms. We encourage people to engage in plant care with a deeper understanding of plants as living beings. By using an Arduino-activated soil moisture sensor and lighting system, the installation visualizes a plant's breathing and emotional rhythms. As the sensor monitors the plant's moisture levels, “\/\//=\/\/” generates various patterns that visualize the plant's level of living conditions and overall emotions. Through this process, people may view plants as ‘WE’—a life community that breathe and feel, leading to a caring relationship with plant life.
